THE FLAME CODEX

The Descent of the Flame

From the realization of consciousness to incarnation

TWENTY-EIGHT YEARS OF RECOGNITION

For twenty-eight years I lived from the recognition of nondual consciousness.

I had discovered that my deepest identity was that presence in which the body, thoughts and the world appear. The recognition was simple and, at the same time, it completely changed my relationship with existence. Life went on, with its joys, its difficulties and its learning, held by a silent certainty: what I had always been searching for was here. Over the years I understood that this awakening still had a depth to reveal. What had been recognized as consciousness would begin to find a far more intimate expression in the body.

IT CAME BY GRACE

The Descent of the Flame

I call that movement the Descent of the Flame. It came by Grace, after many years of practice, devotion and integration, without my being able to program it. I began to live it as a presence asking for room within my humanity: in the mind, in the heart, in vitality and, in an especially deep way, in the root.

The Flame is the name I give to the Divine Intelligence consciously entering incarnation.

What I had recognized as my subtlest nature began to come close to the weight of the body, to the breath, to sensitivity and to ordinary life.

SOPHIA AND THE COOL FIRE

From fire to a fresh, steady presence

In the language of this experience, Sophia names the living wisdom through which the sacred finds form. I perceive her as an intelligence that knows the rhythm of this integration, that meets resistances, reveals areas of contraction and allows the body to learn to receive.

There were periods of heat, intensity and inner movement; there were also moments of recollection and deep stillness. In time, what I had felt as fire began to take on a fresh, steady quality.

I call it cool fire: a living, intimate and serene presence which, in my experience, has been finding its anchor at the base of the body.

THE ROOT

The capacity to remain

The root then took on a meaning I had not understood this way before. There, spiritual recognition meets our capacity to remain: to be in the body, to rest, to hold limits, to relate to the earth and to attend to the life in front of us.

I felt presence beginning to settle there and that, from that support, the fire could expand within. The feet, the legs, the spine and the heart entered a more conscious relationship with this movement. The heart kept revealing tenderness and the capacity to hold; clarity found a more human place from which to express itself. This arc has had its own rhythm, with openings, pauses and regions that are still being integrated.

SPIRIT INTO MATTER

I am still human

When I speak of bringing spirit into matter, I mean living consciously in the body what I had once recognized as essence. Matter takes part in the sacred; the body can become a place of intimacy with that truth. The transformation I describe belongs to that spiritual relationship with existence, and I find its fruit in the way I inhabit myself, love, listen and respond.

I am still human. There is sensitivity, tiredness, responsibilities and parts of me that need care. Integration happens precisely there, when presence can also accompany what still hurts and what is still learning to open.

THE ARC OF THE FLAME

Not an escape from the human condition

Consciousness✦fire✦purification✦root✦cool presence✦love✦service

The old spiritual imagination often looked upward: toward heaven, transcendence, special states, the mountaintop. The descent asks a harder and more beautiful question:

Can the Infinite live through the ordinary?
Can the crown bow to the heart? Can the heart bow to the root?
Can realization become tenderness? Can fire become care?

The divine descent is not a movement away from humanity. It is a movement into humanity: the sacred becoming ordinary without becoming less sacred; the body becoming a temple, not because it is perfect, but because it is inhabited.

WHAT I SHARE TODAY

An awakening that keeps maturing

From this process comes the vision I share today: awakening can keep maturing until it becomes a life more and more inhabited by what was recognized. The Flame Codex came afterwards, as a language to distinguish qualities of this experience and to accompany their integration. I share what I have lived with gratitude, and with the humility of knowing it is still unfolding.

My service is to offer presence, words and a space of meeting to those who feel this same question within:

How can we allow the truth of Being
to find expression in our humanity?

The crown receives · the heart translates
the root incarnates · and life demonstrates

From 29 March 2025 to 26 January 2026 I lived, day by day, the year that became La Llama Encarnada · The Incarnate Flame. The process itself is set down in Yoga del Descenso, in three volumes: Libro Puerta, Libro de la Morada and El Códice en el Cuerpo.
